OUR STORY
Thank you so much for visiting Cana Provisions. We encourage you to look around and, if nothing else, be inspired to take a deeper look into your personal water plan. Your preps don’t have to start or stop with water, but water is one of the most crucial and overlooked items in any plan. No matter the stage of your plan, we can all continue to learn, grow, and prepare more completely. Thank you for supporting our family owned and operated business here in the heart of the USA.
Stay safe, God bless, and RESPECT THE WATER.
TIMELINE
A PASSION IS BORN
In 2008, we traveled to Nkuv, Cameroon with a team of nurses and engineers affiliated with Engineers Without Borders to fabricate, install, and educate the locals in the process of water collection, distribution, and treatment.
REKINDLING
12 years later the passion was rekindled. We had five gallons of clean drinking water and needed nearly twenty. Of the seven filters we had among our group, all but one had failed. As the sun set, the urgency of moving on foot to a contested water source a quarter mile away began to set in. How were we going to get there? How much water could we gather? How much water could we carry on foot over uneven ground?
The training event just described is a snapshot of one of the topics covered at Direct Action Resource Center (DARC)’s Tactical Urban Sustainment Course and an experience that sparked a series of events that not only led to the formation of Cana Provisions, but changed lives in the process.
2020-Today
Immediately after DARC, we began designing, testing, and manufacturing products that were purpose driven, specifically for the movement and treatment of water in harsh and austere environments that are not only found here in the US, but around the world.
With our new products, we needed a brand. Our name comes from the village in modern day Israel where, in 31AD, Jesus performed his first public miracle. The water that he turned to wine was in jars that had been stored for use in ceremonial cleansing. As such, we chose the name Cana to represent our new endeavor helping educate and outfit people in methods of providing clean, safe water in any environment.
We continue to partner with DARC in teaching people worldwide and bringing common sense tools and products to the marketplace.
