WHAT IS A WATER PLAN?
A Water Plan is a strategy and procedure for collecting, storing, treating, and providing clean, safe potable water for you and your dependents.
WHY DO I NEED A WATER PLAN?
Here in the US, we are blessed with access to clean, safe water. We give very little thought to what we would do in the event that water was no longer safe. Whether a cyber attach, crumbling infrastructure, or natural disasters, the system we are dependent upon is alarmingly fragile and at risk.

DO I REALLY NEED THAT MUCH WATER?
5 US gallons per day, per adult, does sound like a lot - but water is for more than just for drinking. The numbers are drawn from the USDA and US National Academy of Sciences.
Drinking: 1gal/adult | Cooking: 2gal/adult
Cleaning: 1gal/adult | Bathing: 1gal/adult
Total of 5 gallons per adult, per day.
"I DON'T USE THAT MUCH WATER"
We encourage you to ration your water and to be as efficient with it as possible. Time and time again we see people in the field use far more water than expected, especially when under stress and exertion. It's never a bad thing to have an excess commodity of clean water that will enable you to help others or straight your prepared time longer.
