Do not drink water from a settling bucket, the settling and/or prefilter process does not qualify as an adequate method of water treatment and/or disinfection. The dosages provided on the Water Data Card family of products are in accordance and alignment with the dosages as recommended by the CDC and EPA for safe water preparation. Pleae note that these concentrations an doses are considerably higher than other manufactured options (Aquatabs, Aquamira, H2gO) and should be treated accordingly. Cana Provisions does not recommend the use of household bleach as your primary water treatment method due to the varying concentrations of bleach and its degredation/decomposition over time. Follow all manufacturers directions and personal protective equipment for the safe handling of bleach. Do not drink bleach. Your water treatment is your responsibility.
