PRODUCT INFORMATION

If you’re looking to set up a settling bucket for your water plan, the Standard Settling Bucket Construction Kit provides everything but the bucket and bucket strainer to get you started. 

A Settling Bucket is a holding container that allows sediment to naturally fall out of solution over time in order to reduce the amount of sediment your filter needs to remove from the water. Not only can it drastically prolong the life of your filter but also require far fewer disinfection resources. Make construction of your settling bucket simple and straightforward with our kit.

Please note that three and five packs do not include multiple paddle bits. Only one bit is included for 1/3/5 pack kits.

Kit Includes:

  • (1) 3/4" Wide, 1/4" Drive, 6" Long tool steel paddle (spade) bit
  • (1) 3/4" Spigot
  • (1) 7.5"x9" Instructions and Alignment Decal
  • Decal: High quality matte finish, die cut, UV resistant, waterproof, scratch resistant, heat resistant, high-tac adhesive, legible under NVG's
  • Designed, printed, and packaged here in the USA

Important Notes:

  • The Instructions and Alignment Decal has specific alignment instructions for where and how to place it on a standard 5 US GAL bucket. the included spade bit, when correctly used, will neatly slice the decal out of the way for the placement of the spigot. 
  • Please be sure to install a seal on both the INNER and OUTER surfaces and finger tighten the nut until there is no leaking. Do not overtighten.

Do not drink water from a settling bucket, the settling and/or prefilter process does not qualify as an adequate method of water treatment and/or disinfection. The dosages provided on the Water Data Card family of products are in accordance and alignment with the dosages as recommended by the CDC and EPA for safe water preparation. Pleae note that these concentrations an doses are considerably higher than other manufactured options (Aquatabs, Aquamira, H2gO) and should be treated accordingly. Cana Provisions does not recommend the use of household bleach as your primary water treatment method due to the varying concentrations of bleach and its degredation/decomposition over time. Follow all manufacturers directions and personal protective equipment for the safe handling of bleach. Do not drink bleach. Your water treatment is your responsibility.
